Mason Mastroianni is an American comic artist, the grandson of the late Johnny Hart who created the comic strip B.C. in 1958.

The team logo was designed by Johnny Hart, artist of the comic strip "B.C." and a Binghamton native.

Alternatively, it is said to be named after the comic strip B.C., created by Johnny Hart, who was born and raised in Endicott.
