"I found it fascinating to learn how to handle the ball," Jackson recalled the other day.

"Lark had gone home but now it was time to get going," Jackson recalled.

Jackson couldn't recall the last time he'd seen one lying around outside.

"For the first two years, there was doubt that we were going to make it," Jackson recalled.

"He congratulated me on the season and rookie of the year - he said," Jackson recalled.

"Jackson recalls hearing one victim say, just before he died, 'Oh, God, my head.' "

"I was lying there like a lord," recalled Jackson.

"It was my job as flight engineer to get the rest of the crew out of trouble," recalled Jackson.

"I was shaken," Jackson recalled the other day as he recounted the reason for the hospital visit and the conversation that took place.

"Having Mike out there took a lot of pressure off me," Jackson recalled.
