Meredith serves on the board of the Cherokee Arts and Humanities Council, a grassroots community organization based in northeastern Oklahoma.

Mr. Paleologos said he would introduce an amendment this week to restore financing for the Arts and Humanities Council.

These various organization cooperate and coordinate their operations through the Arts and Humanities Council of Tuscaloosa County.

"One of the aims of the Humanities Council," he continued, "is to bring ideas to the widest possible audience and encourage participants to engage in critical thinking."

He currently serves on the board of the Cherokee Arts and Humanities Council.
