At the Golden Globes show in January, Pat O'Brien, the host of the CBS celebrity program "The Insider," greeted the Globe winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx by shuttling them into a booth.

The previous Globe winners that failed to win the Oscar were "The Aviator" and "Sideways" in 2004 and "Sense and Sensibility" and "Babe" in 1995.

"It's been very wonderful," the first-time Globe winner continued.

Over the last seven years, only one Globe best-picture winner - 2008's "Slumdog Millionaire" - has gone on to claim the top Oscar trophy.
