The first year of students to do this finished their GCSE course in the summer term of 2010.
The school currently educates pupils from the age of two to 13, with GCSE courses for older children due to start next year.
It is used, and will be used, by schools for admission to sixth forms or GCSE courses.
GCSE courses start for all subjects in year 10, with the examinations held during the summer term of year 11.
The 4th Form is the first year of the GCSE course proper.
The 5th Form is the final year of the GCSE course.
Many students, however, use this additional time to study, or take additional GCSE courses.
After that, GCSE courses are set to become much more exam based.
The council said the courses would be no more than half a full GCSE course, allowing pupils to concentrate on other subjects they choose.
At the end of the two-year GCSE course, candidates receive a grade for each subject that they have sat.
