On his 80th birthday the Kaiser gave him a costume party in Potsdam, during which one of his best-loved paintings, the "Flute Concert of Frederick the Great," was acted out in a high-born charade.
In the painting of the "Flute Concert" the figure of C. P. E. Bach at the harpsichord is perfectly adequate.
