East Island is one of three islets on Ashmore Reef.

East Island has been abandoned since 1970.

East Island is a granite island, with an area of 12.42 ha, in south-eastern Australia.

They circled for another few minutes, then turned back towards East Island.

The largest of them is East Island, which is not quite 200 metres long and 70 metres wide.

East Island is the site of the East Island Lighthouse.

On 26 October a gale rose and Howard sheltered in the lee of East Island.

About 125 families live on East Island (more commonly known as Morgan's Island), a waterfront community where homes cost between $400,000 and $500,000.

But East Island was a hundred and thirty miles from Ferayd itself.

The lighthouse was originally constructed on nearby East Island.
