Kees Posthumus (16 June 1902 - 15 September 1972) was a Dutch chemist.
This was because it came together with chlorine to make the oil of the Dutch chemists.
This hypothesis was put forward in the same year by the Dutch physical chemist Jacobus Henricus van 't Hoff.
Believed to have been invented by a Dutch chemist and alchemist named Sylvius de Bouve, it was first sold as a medicine in the late 16th century.
Others, like the Dutch chemist Jan Ingenhousz, who investigated light, air and plants, are more obscure.
