Dr. Fields is very assertive and willing to take controversial stands.
"We try to cut down on the waiting time," Dr. Fields added.
Dr. Field also found an increase in respiratory infections among the children, which she attributed to the effects of depression on the immune system.
Dr. Fields had advocated using agency financing to support civilian technology.
Dr. Fields gave another example of how torture in the wrong hands can quickly spiral out of control and waste lives.
Dr. Field has found that the parents who have the most trouble during these periods are usually the ones who feel closest to their children.
"The new technology came along and suddenly television weather became a different ball game," said Dr. Field.
Dr. Fields, 43 years old, had headed the agency for a year until he was transferred last Friday.
"You see exactly the same response in monkeys when they are separated from their mothers," said Dr. Field.
Dr. Field has said that he would procure a nurse for a few days.
