"I saw the Deep Lake of Basilica, crusted over with blood and ashes."
To the east was the fabulous Lehmann home, a stucco castle built in 1888 overlooking Deep Lake.
Among these are Cedar Lake, north of the village center, and Deep Lake, to the east.
The lake receives its water from a creek that comes out of Deep Lake.
Adjacent to Deep Lake, and amidst tree line, is another campground.
After the trail passes Deep Lake, the outlet river runs parallel to the trail for a short distance before entering a small canyon.
Deep Lake is the name of many lakes.
The first known name of the lake was Deep Lake as noted in a land survey in 1855.
