The 1962 model featured new "C" pillar styling for all models except the 4-door hardtop.
The backlight no longer curved and wrapped slightly around the C pillars.
FULL - this is the most commonly seen style, in which the vinyl simply covers the whole top of the car, including the C pillars.
The windshield pillars are very commonly covered in this style, but the C pillars never are.
Visibility to the rear corners is hindered by thick C pillars.

Thus with all side-windows down, a coupé would appear windowless from the A to the C pillars.
More difficult to fabricate was its unusual cantilevered roof, which was secured to the body only at the rear C pillars.
This generation also abandons the door handles that were placed on the C pillar that were present in the previous three generations.
