The United Nations war crimes tribunal has received and will examine documents from Bosnian Serb authorities charging the former Bosnian president, Alija Izetbegovic, with war crimes.

In 1992, the Bosnian president, Alija Izetbegovic, declared independence.

All three parties to the Bosnia talks attended the first meeting since the current round began two weeks ago and the Bosnian president, Alija Izetbegovic, said he would sign key documents in a peace package.

Izetbegović is a member of the Party of Democratic Action and son of the late Bosnian president, Alija Izetbegović.
