In July 1975 the chapel was re-dedicated by the Bishop of Ely.
In 1905 he was consecrated as Bishop of Ely.
He died as Bishop of Ely on 8 June 1373.
St Etheldreda's was built some time between 1250 and 1290 as the town chapel for the Bishops of Ely.
On 2 May 1990, he was consecrated as the Bishop of Ely.
On 31 August 2010, it was announced that he would be the next Bishop of Ely.
From 1934 to 1940 he was Bishop of Ely.
He died while Bishop of Ely on 24 August 1505.
The Bishop of Ely burned down some of her houses after her husband's death in 1349 and she took legal action against him.
On 18 January 1957 he became Bishop of Ely until 1963.
