Re-designated as: 79th Air Refueling Squadron on 1 October 1994.

On 25 June 1965 the 11th Air Refueling Squadron was assigned to the wing.

The Wing operates two operational Air Refueling Squadrons, the 145th and 166th.

In February 1956, the 19th Air Refueling Squadron was permanently assigned to the wing.

Reactivated as 96th Air Refueling Squadron, Medium in 1953.

The 9th Air Refueling Squadron, inactivated on 15 December 1965.

Reactivated as the 911 Air Refueling Squadron in 1958.

On 31 March 2009, the 55th Air Refueling Squadron was inactivated.

The 34th Air Refueling Squadron was reassigned to the 385th.

With the activation, the 18th Air Refueling Squadron provided air operations for the group.
