triquetral bone

The majority of the bands radiate from the capitate to the scaphoid, lunate, and Triquetral bone bones.

In standard medical posture, the lunate carpal bone is situated between the lateral Scaphoid bone and medial Triquetral bone.

Instead the medial attachment is to the most medial of the carpal bones, the triquetrum (or triquetral bone) and pisiformis (or pisiform bone).

The parts forming the radiocarpal joint are the lower end of the radius and under surface of the articular disk above; and the scaphoid, lunate, and triquetral bones below.

The midcarpal joint is formed by the scaphoid, lunate, and triquetral bones in the proximal row, and the trapezium, trapezoid, capitate, and hamate bones in the distal row.

The triquetral bone (also called triquetrum, pyramidal, three-cornered or triangular bone, and formerly cuneiform bone) is located in the wrist on the medial side of the proximal row of the carpus between the lunate and pisiform bones.
