Tho oldest tillite in the area is about 4 million years old.

The tillite may have started appearing in the Late Carboniferous.

Made of Tillite, it is the earliest evidence of glaciation ever recorded.

The lowest levels are a discontinuous dark grey pebbly tillite up to several hundreds of meters thick.

In the west is the Zeehan Tillite.
