Superficial fascia is found in the subcutis in virtually all regions of the body, blending with the reticular layer of the dermis.

The other is the reticular layer which is the deep layer of the dermis and consists of the dense irregular connective tissue.

The arachnoid barrier layer is characterized by a distinct continuous basal lamina on its inner surface towards he innermost collagenous portion of the arachnoid reticular layer.

Beneath this, the dermis comprises two sections, the papillary and reticular layers, and contains connective tissues, vessels, glands, follicles, hair roots, sensory nerve endings, and muscular tissue.
