The firm expects second quarter sales in devices and services to be between €6.7bn and €7.2bn.
First quarter sales were 7.81 billion dollars against 7.35 billion dollars a year earlier.
Third quarter sales rose by 19pc at the business to £32m compared to the same period last year, outlining its huge potential for growth.
The company said its fourth quarter sales rose 6% to $8.70 billion from $8.21 billion a year ago.
Fourth quarter sales may grow "significantly" during the holiday season, the company said.
Legal and General lost 7.9p to 102.6p despite reporting third quarter sales in line with forecasts.
Despite the jump in first quarter sales, Ericsson forecast "slight growth" over all for 2005.
The company said second- quarter sales rose a record 22.3 percent, to $416 million, from $340.3 million a year earlier.
That same year, second quarter American sales reached $17 million.
