The Willow-leaved pear (Pyrus salicifolia) is grown for its attractive, slender, densely silvery-hairy leaves.

It is widely grown as an ornamental tree, almost always as a pendulous (or "weeping") cultivar, and is called by various common names, including Willow-leaved Pear, Weeping Pear, and similar.

Only specimens of certain trees - acacias and the noted weeping pear - were felled by the winds.

I now have two small apple trees - one crab, one eating - an ornamental orange tree, a grape-producing vine, two blueberry plants and a weeping pear.
