An odometer or odograph is an instrument that indicates distance traveled by a vehicle, such as a bicycle or automobile.

These included wireless, an electrically heated crow's nest and an "odograph" that could trace and record the ship's route and speed.

The ship's crow's nest was electrically heated; there were heated overalls for the lookouts, a wireless set, and a device called an odograph which could trace and chart the ship's route automatically.
