mirrored volume

A mirrored volume is a complete logical representation of separate volume copies.

Mirrored volumes are also known as RAID-1.

Mirrored volumes: the volume contains several disks, and when data is written to one it is also written to the other disks.

The types supported are mirrored volumes and RAID-5 volumes:

Mirrored volumes, also known as RAID-1, store identical copies of their data on 2 or more identical disks (mirrored).
