The children's Library contains books and audiovisual material for children between five and ten years of age.

The library has a collection of 284,921 items including books, audiovisual material and journals.

The other part is for teen-agers and stresses audiovisual materials.

Thus, it covers all the audiovisual material usually to be found in academic and other institutions (museums, companies etc.).

The collection is composed of over 120,000 books and audiovisual materials.

It has in its collection 670,580 books; 6,883 serial subscriptions and 10,417 audiovisual materials.

It contains over 4,000 photographs, documents, and rare audiovisual material on Syria during the years 1900-2000.
