This was to repair the leadwork, the rainwater goods, repointing and limewashing of the tower roof and the superstructure of the building.

The second phase involved re-plastering and limewashing of the interior, repairing the fittings, cleaning and consolidating the memorials, and conserving the hatchments.

Limewashing began in October and all the houses had to be finished by the end of February, as many would then have the heat turned up to set their inmates into growth.
