Bubbles is actually very clever; it took her five minutes to learn how to leg yield.

I practice my leg yields, each evenin 'til ten.

The side pass (also called the full pass or full travers), leg yield, and half-pass all ask the horse to move sideways.

But my problem is that when I ask him to side pass or shoulder in or leg yield he wont do it with just my leg.

Currently being professionally schooled and showing a lovely dressage outline and movement (established leg yields, flying changes, extension etc), with basic jump schooling underway and showing wonderful style, natural ability and enjoyment for jumping.

Lateral movements are not required in the earliest levels, and movements such as the leg yield, shoulder-in, or haunches-in are gradually introduced as the horse progresses, until the point at which the horse can compete in the FEI levels.
