To complete the selection, the user must connect the end point to the starting point just like the regular lasso tool.

Inlines are the basic Lasso tool for database actions.

The quick selection tool selects areas based on edges, similarly to the magnetic lasso tool.

The difference between this tool and the lasso tool is that there is no starting and ending point.

The tool for cutting out an object, called Edgefinder, works well, but not so easily as the Lasso tool.

The lasso tool is similar to the "marquee" tool, however, the user can make a custom selection by drawing it freehand.

Several tools can be used for this process such as the lasso tool; however, in this case the filter-extraction tool has been used.
