Diagnosed as having juvenile glaucoma, he was almost totally blind by the time he was about 14 months old and beginning to walk.

As a youth he was diagnosed with juvenile glaucoma and his eyesight progressively worsened into his adulthood.

Symptoms: iris hypoplasis, goniodysgenesis, and juvenile glaucoma.

Primary juvenile glaucoma is a neonate or juvenile abnormality where ocular hypertension is evident at birth or shortly thereafter and is caused by abnormalities in the anterior chamber angle development that blocks outflow of the aqueous humor.
