Macros could be used to interface routines written in assembly language to the front end of applications written in almost any language.

A set of interrupt-driven user interface routines called Pinball provided keyboard and display services for the jobs and tasks running on the AGC.

It contains the default MS-DOS device drivers (hardware interfacing routines) and the DOS initialization program.

Users were able to develop their own interface routines, and substitute new vectors for the original vectors in the startup UV-EPROM.
