"Inflationism" is generally a term of abuse or a current in heterodox economics.

"The inflationism of the currency systems of Europe has proceeded to extraordinary lengths.

In political debate, inflationism is opposed to hard currency, which believes that the real value of currency should be maintained.

Later, economist John Maynard Keynes described the effects of inflationism:

"Thus the menace of inflationism described above is not merely a product of the war, of which peace begins the cure.

Economic interventionism, inflationism, worldwide police activity and obsession about drugs with disregard for civil liberties, are endorsed by Democrats and Republicans alike.
