Hypermetropia is the technical name for a problem that may happen with the human eye.

Occasionally, correction of hypermetropia with glasses is sufficient to straighten the eye.

Hypermetropia: A condition where the eye is too small and eyes have to over focus to see clearly; also called farsightedness.
