The person making the request must be in possession of a Community Transit comprehensive guarantee or a guarantee waiver certificate.

You must be authorised to hold a comprehensive guarantee or a guarantee waiver and become an authorised consignee.

Details of goods for which your Community Transit comprehensive guarantee or a guarantee waiver may not provide sufficient security can be found in Notice 750 Community/Common Transit.

The relevant provisions of the Customs Code will apply including the requirement for a Community Transit guarantee or guarantee waiver to secure the customs duties and other charges applicable to the goods.

Guarantee waivers - All businesses wishing to hold or apply for a customs special procedure (Inward Processing, Customs Warehouse, Temporary Storage etc) will be required to have in place a guarantee.

Where temporary storage goods are removed from the port or airport to inland temporary storage premises, or between premises, you must provide security in the form of a Community Transit Guarantee or Guarantee waiver for the goods.
