More magical yet was a third sun named Glost, which appeared as little more than a red spot in the sky.

The original sun, Glost, was the work of Guerimm, the god of fire.

Because the glaze will subsequently cover it such decoration is completely durable, but because the subsequent glost firing is at a higher temperature than used in on-glaze decoration the range of available colours is more limited.
