The Rheem Manufacturing Company was subsequently organized in 1930 and bought out Pacific Galvanizing and acquired the Republic Steel package company, which also had a plant in Richmond, California.

The former extent of the Bolckow, Vaughan property at the Eston Sheet and Galvanizing Works beside the River Tees Dockyard is still marked by boundary stones on Smiths Dock Road, Middlesbrough.

By the early 1900s, however, Niles was the site of companies including Ohio Galvanizing, Sykes Metal, the Niles Glass Works of the General Electric Company, and the Niles Iron and Steel Roofing Company.
