The name derives from the Greek lygos, a pliant twig, and desme, a bundle, because of the fascicled twiggy or rush-like stems of the plants.

The light is located on Point Betsie, Michigan, which in turn is part of a recognized terrestrial marine near shore ecosystem, dominated by a coastal dune with unique flora and fauna, including Pitcher's Thistle, Lake Huron Locust, and fascicled broomrape.

It is much more common than left posterior fascicular block.

Left anterior fascicular block.

Left anterior fascicular block is a cardiac condition, distinguished from left bundle branch block.

No differentiation between fascicular and interfascicular regions of the secondary xylem is apparent, and ray cells are rarely observed.

The bundle of His is a collection of heart muscle cells specialized for electrical conduction that transmits the electrical impulses from the AV node (located between the atria and the ventricles) to the point of the apex of the fascicular branches.

Specifically, blocks that occur in the right or left bundle branches are called "bundle branch blocks," and those that occur in either the left anterior or left posterior fascicles are called "fascicular blocks," or "hemiblocks."

A subset of individuals with the triad of first-degree heart block, right bundle branch block, and either left anterior fascicular block or left posterior fascicular block (known as trifascicular block) may be at an increased risk of progression to complete heart block.

These start as a single fascicle of fibers at the AV node called the Bundle of His that then splits into three bundle branches: the right fascicular branch, left anterior fascicular branch, and left posterior fascicular branch.

Fasciculated root (tuberous root) occur in clusters at the base of the stem; example: asparagus, dahlia.

The fact that the neurite outgrowth was more fasciculated points to the possibility that growth-promoting and/or adhesive factors were also affected by the treatments.
