The park's avifauna also includes the cormorant, painted stork, white ibis, laggar falcon, purple sunbird, Asian paradise flycatcher and golden oriole.

Birds in the park include the Golden Eagle, Lammergeier, Griffon Vulture, Laggar Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk and Snowcock.

The park has around 160 species of birds including Houbara bustard, Marsh harrier, Laggar falcon, Peregrine falcon, Kestrel, and Egyptian vulture, some of which are endangered species.

The Saker Falcon Falco cherrug has been recorded in literature but the Tawny Eagle Aquila rapax and other falcons such as the Laggar Falcon also prey on these lizards.
