The ease of doing business index is an index created by the World Bank.

Under his leadership, Slovakia jumped to 32nd place (of 178 economies) on the ease of doing business index.

Rwanda ranks highly in several categories of the World Bank's ease of doing business index.

The country's overall ease of doing business index ranking is fifty-second out of 185 countries worldwide, and third out of 46 in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Ease of doing business index created by the World Bank lists Chile as 37th in the world that encompasses better, usually simpler, regulations for businesses and stronger protections of property rights.

The ease of doing business index is meant to measure regulations directly affecting businesses and does not directly measure more general conditions such as a nation's proximity to large markets, quality of infrastructure, inflation, or crime.

The Global Competitiveness Index's annual reports are somewhat similar to the Ease of Doing Business Index and the Indices of Economic Freedom, which also look at factors affecting economic growth (but not as many as the Global Competitiveness Report).
