Central to the celebrations was a drum head service to rededicate the AAC memorial.

Since 2013 Gloucester has marked Armed Forces Day with a Drum Head Service held on College Green in the shadow of the cathedral.

Then down to the old main gate for the Drum Head service (I am excused marching, a dodgy knee - I am in hospital now having it replaced).

Mr. Noel Knockwood, the Sergeant at Arms of the Provincial Legislature and the Spiritual Leader of the Mi’kmaq Nation, will conduct a traditional Sweet Grass Ceremony prior to the Drum Head service.
