The prospering company was producing a wide range of products including fences, gates, posts, welded wire fabric, nails, a variety of wires, clothes lines rivets, and copper steel (Konik) sheets.

In this project, standard low-alloy copper-bearing steel coupons are being exposed at different sites in Antarctica for corrosion rate measurements.

Copper-bearing steels, containing from .15% to .25% copper, develop increased resistance to atmospheric corrosion, when compared to ordinary steel, by forming a protective oxide coating, having a uniform deep brown color and texture.

Other types of flat or near-flat roofs consist of roll roofing - long strips of material the same as that used for asphalt shingles - or metal, usually galvanized steel or aluminum, but sometimes copper or terne (a copper-bearing steel).
