The ciliospinal center is located between the C8 and T1 regions of the spinal cord within the intermediolateral column.

The SCG receives input from the ciliospinal center.

The hypothalamospinal tract connects the thalamus to the ciliospinal center of the intermediolateral cell column in the spinal cord (T1, T2).

The ciliospinal center (in Latin: centrum ciliospinale) is a structure which receives input from the pretectum, and has output to the superior cervical ganglion.

The preganglionic fibers that innervate the SCG are the thoracic spinal nerves, which extend from the T1-T8 region of the ciliospinal center .
