Where the document is required for use as a certificate of receipt or shipment.

You must retain a dated certificate of receipt for the vehicle with your records.

In sufficient time to reach the destination before the certificate of receipt or shipment for the oil is required to be given.

The certificate of receipt should be sent within 5 days of the goods being warehoused.

You must monitor the return of copy 3, which is a certificate of receipt from the consignee.

They should also notify the consignee using the certificate of receipt for the accompanying document.

When you take delivery of the vehicle, you will have to sign a certificate of receipt.

Some Member States may require all certificates of receipt to be routed through their fiscal authorities.

This is in addition to the report of receipt/certificate of receipt to their supplier.

Any discrepancies between the amount shown on the delivery document and the quantity received should be noted on the certificate of receipt.

Please encourage your consignees to return certificates of receipt promptly and help your suppliers in the same way.

Promptly send the warehouse or premises of despatch a certificate of receipt for the wine actually received.

This may be done as soon as you have a valid certificate of receipt showing that the authorised consignee received the goods concerned intact.

When oil is received under duty suspension, the warehousekeeper must send a certificate of receipt to the consigning warehousekeeper.

The consignee is responsible for arranging endorsement of the AAD and returning copy 3 to you as a certificate of receipt.

The certificate of receipt should be returned to you within 15 days (or five days for W8s) after the end of the month of receipt of the goods.

Dispatching warehousekeepers must notify HMRC where a certificate of receipt is not obtained for all goods that have been dispatched in duty suspension (Reg 15).

This must include the price of any accessories or extras and any delivery charges, less any discount allowed a certificate of receipt of the vehicle, signed and dated by the applicant.

If you transport goods by road, you need to be aware of the CMR note, the Forwarders' Certificate of Receipt, the TIR system and forthcoming legislation changes.

The Forwarders' Certificate of Receipt (FCR) provides proof that a forwarder has accepted your goods with irrevocable instructions to deliver them to the consignee indicated on the FCR.

In all cases, the duty on the oil remains the responsibility of the supplier for the premises from which the oil is removed until the consignee returns the certificate of receipt for the oil (see paragraph 5.7) (EWER Reg 15; HOR Reg 11).
