Apartheid, he said, had given people like him little choice in life.

This was an apartheid country until about 45 years ago, so still some way to go.

"I really believe that this is just another form of apartheid."

And even under apartheid, English was the language of business in the country.

South Africa has come a long way since the days of apartheid.

"We are simply not that far away from a time when American apartheid was in place," he says.

All the same, the black students come from the other side of the apartheid looking glass.

In a former office of apartheid, a very civil union.

"They must take a stand to end apartheid, not just be against it."

Election results were in, he said - apartheid was over.

Opponents of apartheid said the move would help their campaign.

"We are creating in our schools a system of apartheid."

"Some people clearly want France to become the new land of apartheid."

Since the end of apartheid, relations between the two countries have increased.

The issue thus has implications for any change in the country's system of apartheid.

"Their idea was to get information out to the French about apartheid," he said.

"We mix much more here under apartheid on that kind of level than they do."

"People seem to think life stopped after apartheid," she said.

I know the history of American apartheid, as my scholarship shows.

"When they did away with apartheid, I thought the sky would fall," he says.

"I began to understand what was happening in that country under apartheid," he said.

Obviously, some things had simply disappeared along with the end of apartheid.

"Apartheid put us here and they must not forget that fact."
