The Royal New Zealand Air Force have been regular attendees with their Red Checkers aerobatics displays.

During an aerobatics display, pilots experience forces up to 4 to 5g, and when performing the aerobatic maneuver 'Max Turn and Loop', forces up to 8g (the structural limit of the aircraft).

During an aerobatics display, Red Arrows pilots experience forces up to five times that of gravity (1g), and when performing the aerobatic manoeuvre 'Vixen Break', forces up to 7g can be reached, close to the 8g structural limit of the aircraft.

There is a hot air balloon festival, kite flying and games for the whole family, a Baird Ceilidh at Mount Stuart and many other aviation related activities are featured, including the likes of a Royal Navy Sea King helicopter and aerobatics displays.

OTU prior to their combat postings in the South West Pacific; in December 1943, Caldwell and Waddy nearly collided when they crossed paths during an aerobatics display at No. 5 Service Flying Training School in Uranquinty, New South Wales.

A near miss involving more experienced pilots occurred at the school in December 1943, when aces Clive Caldwell and John Waddy, then instructors at No. 2 Operational Training Unit in Victoria, almost collided when they crossed paths during an aerobatics display over the base.
