Trichophyton tonsurans

Trichophyton tonsurans is a species of fungus in the Arthrodermataceae family.

Some forms of tinea, such as Trichophyton tonsurans, do not fluoresce.

The current culprit is a fungus known as Trichophyton tonsurans, which is estimated to cause 90 percent of cases in this country.
