Savi's warbler

He published a full description of the bird in 1824, and it became commonly known as Savi's Warbler.

Savi's Warbler was re-admitted to the Committee's list in 1998, due to declining numbers of occurrences.

The sound is similar to that of Savi's Warbler, or the hiss of overhead electricity wires.

The Savi's Warbler (Locustella luscinioides) is an Old World warbler in the grass warbler genus Locustella.

It is also of particular conservation importance for its populations of Western Marsh Harrier, Pied Avocet, Savi's Warbler, Bearded Reedling and Reed Bunting.

Some birds can show reduced dark markings on the undertail-coverts (caused by more extensive than usual white tips) and thus be closer in appearance to Savi's Warbler than typical birds; however they typically still have a streaked breast and more olive upperparts coloration.

The second was in 1982, when ten further species were removed: Cory's Shearwater, Purple Heron, White Stork, Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Richard's Pipit, Tawny Pipit, Savi's Warbler, Aquatic Warbler, Serin and Common Rosefinch.
