Grzegorz Wojtowicz was dismissed as president of the National Bank of Poland on Aug. 31.

On 27 May 2010 Belka was nominated as the next President of the National Bank of Poland by Acting President Bronisław Komorowski.

Grzegorz Wojtowicz, the former president of the National Bank of Poland, was charged on Sept. 23 with gross mismanagement in connection a banking scandal involving a private company known as Art-B.

A similar disapproval was expressed after Miller's support for the Concordat and the candidature of Prof. Leszek Balcerowicz to the position of President of the National Bank of Poland.
