There are some trees and plants such as lotus, Persian turpentine tree, garden thyme and pennyroyal on the mountain that are irrigated by a local fountain.

Pistacia atlantica is a species of pistachio tree known by the English common name Mt. Atlas mastic tree and as the Persian turpentine tree.

Other trees include the official tree of Arona, Pistacia atlantica, dragon trees, and the Canary Island Date Palm (Phoenix canariensis).

Some tree species (e.g. Pistacia aethiopica, Pistacia atlantica) can exist as small bushes and shrubs due to the extreme of its habitat, to adverse conditions or the excessive consumption by herbivores or livestock that hinder it properly.
