Parable of the Vineyard

The Parable of the Vineyard that Jesus told (which was quoted in full last time) falls perfectly into place.

In the Parable of the Vineyard above, we have seen that Jesus categorically drew a line between himself and the previous prophets.

This exact consequence for their rebellion against God is substantiated in the prophetic parable of the vineyard found in Isaiah 5:1-7.

At the end of the parable of the vineyard, Christ says: 'The stone that the builders rejected is become the head of the corner, and it is marvellous in our eyes'.

These Bibles have the famous misprint in the page heading of chapter XX of St. Luke which reads The Parable of the Vinegar instead of The Parable of the Vineyard.

Like the workers in the Parable of the Vineyard who toiled the whole day and then saw those who had worked just one hour get the same wage as theirs, we often let God's generosity to others warp both our joy and our eyesight.
