Muslims read the Parable of the tenants in the light of the following Hadith:

For in sending his Son, like the parable of the tenants (Luke 20:9-19), God runs the risk of rejection and makes Jesus vulnerable, terribly vulnerable.

Commentary: The parable of the tenants, who rejected and maltreated prophets and even killed the son of the owner of the vine, refers to the Jews.
