Norbertine Sisters

Originally a separate village, it was first mentioned in 1162 as the property of the Norbertine Sisters.

This document confirms the ownership of the village by the Norbertine Sisters from Zwierzyniec.

Norbertine Sisters from the Zwierzyniec convent donated the grounds on which the Mound and the chapel were erected.

In 1928 came (for the metropolitan councils of Prince Adam Stefan Sapieha) Norbertine sisters, to give children a free, Catholic education.

A document of Bishop of Wrocław issued on 23 May 1223 for Norbertine Sisters in Rybnik includes a following excerpt:

The village of Wisła was first mentioned in 1223 as Vizla, in a document of Bishop of Wrocław issued for Norbertine Sisters in Rybnik among villages paying them tithe.

In 1228 the aforementioned Norbertine Sisters moved from Rybnik to Czarnowąsy the tithe from most of the villages listed in 1223 were taken from them, however Puńców was extraordinarily given to them as a possession.

He executed sculptural decoration of the Norbertine Sisters church, and The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Imbramowice, Lesser Poland Voivodeship (1716-1722), which included: six altars and religious statues.
