Mosaic religion

Mosaic religion was still at large during from 4th until the 6th centuries, practiced by ethnoreligious communities of Samaritans and Jews.

One of their kings, Dhu Nuwas, disliked the paganism of his people and inclined toward the Mosaic religion.

Having translated Johlson's Instruction in the Mosaic Religion, Leeser issued in the winter of 1829-30 proposals to publish it and The Jews and the Mosaic Law.

The magazine was founded in 1956 under the name Revista Cultului Mozaic din România ("Review of the Mosaic Religion in Romania"), but in 1995 it changed its name to Realitatea Evreiască.

Some modern Karaims seek to distance themselves from being identified as Jews, emphasizing what they view as their Turkic heritage and claiming that they are Turkic practitioners of a "Mosaic religion" separate and distinct from Judaism.
