Eurolink Age, a European network concerned with older people and issues of ageing, has produced a new leaflet in French and English outlining its work and objectives.

Discrimination against employing people started with those in their 40s, while over-50s were being pressed to take early retirement regardless of their individual ability or health, said the report, by Eurolink Age.

She was Director General of Age Concern England from 1987 until 2000; also until 2000, she was joint Chair of the Age Concern Institute of Gerontology at King's College London, and Secretary General of Eurolink Age.
